Is Your Data Backed Up?

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

If you have thought about backing up your data, but have yet to make the step and do then I highly recommend that you do it now. The Planet has caught fire and 9,000 servers are down, meaning that there are a lot of companies out there with no data and wishing they had it all backed up.

If your web host goes down, or should I say when?, then you’ll lose everything you’ve worked hard to put online - your website, your blog, all your back up files, your photos and graphics, even all your secure and nonpublic folders will be gone if they exist on that host’s servers. Having a local company is more important now than ever. Some of these hosts that are growing by leaps and bounds have been in business for 10 years or longer. They’re getting old, and you know what happens when things get old - they get finicky and persnickety. It might not take a fire to crash the servers!

Data backup is important - for you and for your customers. Don’t wait.
